Seeking a highly qualified person for a position as a Technologist/Lab Manager to work with a small group of scientists on projects concerning immune responses to Plasmodium (malaria) antigens and bacterial antigens. The candidate should have BS or Masters Degree in the area of Biological Sciences/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology. The position includes handling small laboratory animals (mice), performing tissue culture that requires knowledge of sterile technique, and performing immunological assays according to developed protocols. Apart from performing or assisting with experiments, the candidate will also be responsible for ordering reagents, maintaining reagent inventory, writing animal reports, and adhering to the institutional and laboratory rules and guidelines regarding laboratory organization and safety. The candidate’s qualification for this position include highly developed organizational skills, interpersonal interactive skills with collaborators, and a keen attention to detail.
