The Lodoen Lab at UC Irvine is recruiting a highly motivated scientist for a postdoctoral position. Our laboratory investigates host-pathogen interactions and innate immunity during infection with the intracellular parasite Toxoplasma gondii. This project focuses on molecular cues driving neuroinflammation during T. gondii infection of the CNS using an in vivo infection model.
Experience in cellular and molecular immunology, host-pathogen interactions, or neurobiology is desired. Strong communication skills and command of spoken and written English are obligatory. Applicants should have a recent PhD in biomedical sciences or related fields.
UC Irvine is located in Southern California between L.A. and San Diego. We have a vibrant immunology/infection community on campus and active collaborations with colleagues in engineering and neurobiology.
Please contact Dr. Melissa Lodoen (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a cover letter, CV, and list of three references, if you are interested.
